Questions people ask
How do DeFi loans work?
You deposit collateral (for example ETH) into a lending protocol and borrow another asset (for example USDC) up to a loan-to-value limit. Interest accrues every block at the borrow APY shown here, which floats with utilisation. If the collateral value falls below the liquidation threshold, part of it is sold to repay the loan.
What is the cheapest way to borrow stablecoins?
Sort the table by borrow rate and prefer large markets: small pools show low rates that jump as soon as someone borrows. Rates are net of rewards only when the “reward” column is shown; some protocols pay you tokens for borrowing.
What does LTV mean?
Loan-to-value: the maximum share of your collateral value you can borrow. 75% LTV means $100 of collateral allows a $75 loan. Liquidation usually starts a few points above the LTV.
